PEFC – sustainability from the forest to the end product

PEFC is the world's largest independent certification system for sustainable forestry. Wood and paper products with the PEFC seal are proven to originate from ecologically, economically and socially sustainable forest management.

Sustainably managed forests fulfil all requirements: they are an important habitat for animals and plants, provide space for recreation and ensure the constant regrowth of the important raw material wood. These services as a whole must be preserved. In line with the results of the Rio Conference on the Environment and its follow-up processes, PEFC pursues precisely such a holistic approach in its standards. The aim is to create species-rich mixed forests made up of tree species appropriate to the location, to form stable and productive stands that can literally withstand the likely increase in natural disasters, and to promote domestic family forestry. And it is precisely this safeguarding of the ecological, social and economic performance of our forests that will benefit future generations.

The „Golden M“ – the quality mark for tested furniture

The „Golden M“ quality mark is an award for tested furniture that meets strict criteria in terms of quality, safety and health/environmental protection. The „Golden M“ is awarded by the German Furniture Quality Associatione.V. (DGM), which, as the RAL Quality Association, has an important task: to ensure the quality of furniture and to intensify consumer protection. Furniture manufacturers have to meet very high requirements for the award of the seal. More than 55 years of research, laboratory testing, practical tests, comparisons and scientific exchange are behind the RAL quality mark – a good basis for carefree living that gives you security when buying furniture.

Certified management system

Our ISO 9001 quality management system, the ISO 14001 environmental management system and the ISO 50001 energy management system are regularly audited and confirmed by TÜV Austria. ISO 9001 specifies the requirements for a quality management system in order to meet customer demands as well as other product quality requirements. ISO 14001 for environmental management systems serves to improve the environmental performance of a company. The ISO 50001 energy management standard allows companies to continuously improve their energy efficiency. All three standards are globally recognised. We are happy to provide you with our company policy; please use our contact form to request it.

GS mark for tested safety

This certificate is awarded by TÜV Rheinland. The TÜV Rheinland Group is Europe's largest and most important furniture inspector. The GS mark for tested safety is a voluntary safety certificate that is important far beyond the borders of Germany. It guarantees that consumer and occupational safety requirements are met and are tested and regularly monitored by an independent body such as TÜV Rheinland. TÜV product certificates for furniture, furniture parts, components and accessories tell you that items have been tested and monitored for quality and product safety.

RKT recycling certificate

In Germany we participate in the return and recycling system of the company RKT – Recycling Kontor Transportverpackungen. This ensures that our packaging is collected, recorded and recycled in accordance with the German Packaging Act.

Climate pact furniture industry

All over the world, people are talking about urgently needed climate protection measures; this is the defining task of our time! The willingness and necessary commitment to our environment and nature meets with great approval among the population with the aim of taking responsibility for our next generation and for all fellow human beings. The urgent reduction of emissions is essential and depends on the voluntary and consistent action of the economy in the industrialized countries. A great deal of importance is already attached to products and services that are more environmentally friendly than comparable non-quality-assured ones because they meet your high quality and sustainability criteria. This is based on a willingness to reduce CO₂ emissions, neutralize CO₂ emissions, and thus make a contribution to a future worth living.

DGM – Emissions label

An emission label provides the consumer with information on pollutant emissions and is intended to protect him or her from adverse health effects. The emission label developed by the Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel e. V. refers to a collection / a model and is attached directly to these products. Proof of classification is provided by means of appropriate pollutant tests, and the label is awarded exclusively by German Furniture Quality Association e. V.  Emission class A meets the requirements of the limit values according to RAL-GZ 430 or in accordance with the requirements of the Blue Angel RAL-UZ 38 (wood-based materials).
